Hong Kong Part 1- Places

Hong Kong and Kowloon from our window

Hong Kong is fairly self explanatory.
Water, earth, air and fire, the four ancient elements abound in this teeming city.  I took so many pictures it became difficult to choose, so I've divided this post into "places" and "foods". You can easily find the four elements in these pictures.

not sure what they mean here,  look carefully

markets are jammed between urban towers

Many, many  boats on the water

efficient trams abound

Escalators in the "mid levels" take residents down the hill in the AM and up in the PM.  The twenty escalators are the longest outdoor covered system in the world!
I wonder if Jackie Chan ever worked here?

Kowloon has become quite the shopping competitor to Hong Kong, We did our part!

We were lucky to witness this laser show one evening

Near our hotel, is a small temple, where folks come to offer incense and food to the gods, I have to presume their prayers are answered or this sanctuary would have been out of business by now.
