Boracay is a world famous island with a long white sand beach and considered to be the top spot for wind surfing in Asia. What was once quaint is now a 2 kilometers of non stop shops, bars, hotels, markets, etc. The only difference here is that the gov't has not allowed anything over 2-3 stories to be built so we were sparred the kind of commercialization that exists in Mexico and Honolulu plus the beach vendors will leave you alone, they are polite!
Our hotel was a modest family run place on the beach and somehow we were upgraded to a suite, must have been Anna's smile.
And, smoking is not permitted on the beach!!

The "wet market" offers the freshest seafood and vegetables for dinner.
We negotiated for the best price and had it cooked at a nearby restaurant.
